Reinventing Early Childhood Education: Our Vision, Mission, and Values
At Sapience, we work tirelessly with one goal in mind: to transform the way we educate our kids. A fast-paced and increasingly digital age calls for modernized and contemporary teaching practices. Sapience strives to introduce and promote the adoption of pedagogically sound teaching methodologies, along with kid friendly curriculums. We envision a future where our innovative learning materials abound in every classroom, laying the groundwork for a lifelong love of knowledge.
We stand firm in the belief that every child is inherently worthy and deserves to live up to their potential. Educational resources, especially for early literacy and numeracy, must be affordable and accessible. With inclusivity and social mobility in mind, Sapience is on a mission to deliver quality and cost-effective learning material to every child. It is our greatest pleasure to help kids of all backgrounds break barriers.
Each action and every decision at Sapience is grounded in a few core beliefs. Here are the values that illuminate our path:
It all started with a teacher's musings on how to improve early childhood education. Her quest to collate an effective curriculum and her zeal to create life-changing learning material led to the birth of Sapience in 2017. With her dedication and toil, alongside the goodwill of well-wishers, her grand dream grew wings. From a modest 37 schools and 7000 students in 2018-19, Sapience now caters to over 160 schools and 25,000 budding minds. We expect to continue this phenomenal growth trajectory until we realize our vision of abounding in every classroom.
The epitome of versatility, our founder and CEO, Mary Pouline, dons a great number of hats. She is a respected author, educationalist, teacher, mathematician, motivational speaker, and publisher. Perfectly at home in every role she takes on, Ms. Pouline is a visionary in her own right. She has pursued the goal of elevating educational standards for over a decade. She understands that children are a treasure in a casket, and they can blossom when nurtured with compassion and love. For her contribution to child pedagogy, she was honoured with the REX Karmaveer Chakra Bronze Award, in partnership with the UN. As a testament to her entrepreneurial zeal, she appeared on the cover of Woman World India Magazine (January 2025 edition), also featuring in a spotlight story.
